Cyrus Clifford McCrea, a Northeast Portland resident, died Thursday in a Portland care center. He was 97. No funeral was held. Private interment was in Rose City Cemetery. Mr. McCrea was born in Weiser, Idaho, and was a wholesale toy buyer for the M. Seller Co. in Portland from 1925 until his retirement in 1955.
He then worked at the Glendoveer Golf Course clubhouse until 1975. Mr. McCrea was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I. He is survived by his son, David of Portland; daughter, Mary Lou Oylear of Arcata, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
