New Independent Food Store Chain Forms
MERIDIAN—Formation of a new group of independently-owned food stores in southwestern Idaho, known as Buy-Low Food Centers, was announced Tuesday by Paul Keiler of Meridian.
Keiler said formal openings will be held Thursday. The group will be made up of 13 stores in eight towns. All of the stores are locally owned but will use chain store procedures to arrive at lower prices, Keiler said.
The stores include:
  • Homer Ash Market, Avenue Market, Hollywood Market, Valley Food Fair, and Little Super in Boise
  • Harris Market and Day and Night Grocery in Mountain Home
  • Keiler Market in Meridian
  • Jerry’s Market in Eagle
  • Corner Grocery in Emmett
  • Boulevard Market in Nampa
  • Paul’s Market in Homedale
  • Ingersoll’s Market in Weiser
