D.E. Johns & Son Harness Store

I found out that my g-grandfather, David Edgar Johns bought the harness shop in 1921 when they moved into town from their farm. In 1935 he became a member of the Weiser City Council and served until his death in 1948.

It was about 1944 when Dave and his son Earl (Lester Earl Johns) bought the Peacock Building and expanded their harness shop into the Johns Leather Goods Company.
