Weiser Sand Dunes

Weiser Sand Dunes
Weiser Dunes is an OHV riding area located adjacent to the Snake River along the Idaho-Oregon border. The 130 acres of sand dunes offer opportunities for motorcycles, OHVs, and dune buggies to explore sand trails, hill climbs, and open areas. The main parking area is large enough to accommodate large trailers and campers.
There are no fees to ride here but machines must have a current Idaho OHV Registration Sticker. Camping is allowed but the only facility is a vault toilet.
There is no water available or other services. Developed camping is available 7 miles further down Olds Ferry Road at Steck Park. The campground is located on Brownlee Reservoir and offers shaded campsites, potable water, an RV dump station, and two boat ramps. Steck Park is a fee campground.

The dunes
are located about 13 miles west of Weiser, Idaho. From Weiser head west of town on Olds Ferry Road. This road starts as a paved county road and switches to a gravel road about 5 miles west of town. You will find the dunes 8 miles past the end of the pavement. Weiser is located about 75 miles northwest of Boise, Idaho and approximately 20 miles north of Ontario, Oregon, along Idaho State Highway 95.

Police Catch 29 Teenagers at Sand Dunes
WEISER—Four criminal complaints and four petitions under the Youth Rehabilitation Act were filed in probate court Monday, according to Judge Don Henderson. The charges involve the consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages. Jesse McKean, an Idaho State patrolman, signed the complaints after an incident involving numerous teenagers being caught Saturday evening while having a party 12 miles west of Weiser at the Sand Dunes on the Olds Ferry road.
Judge Henderson continued the four criminal complaints until today and the four petitions until Friday. He lectured the remainder of the group, who appeared before him Monday along with the parents involved.
