He was born Nov. 30, 1923, at Weiser, and graduated from Weiser High School in 1941. He attended Northwestern Business School in Spokane, Wash., and joined the Army Air Force in 1942. He graduated from Washington State University in 1950 with a degree in business. He opened his own business, Charles E. Jackson, CPA, in 1960. He was on the Weiser City Council two terms and was active in community affairs. In 1979, he was named Boss of the Year, and in 1986, he was the Washington County Distinguished Citizen.
He and his wife, E. Hope Heleker, were married 51 years.
Survivors are his wife; daughters, Janet Koskella, Gail Starkey, and Debie Prince; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Mehlhaff; a twin brother, Frank Jackson, and a brother, Richard Jackson.
