Douglas Allen “Doug” Saito, 66, passed away at his Portland home recently from natural causes.

After graduating from Weiser High School in Weiser, Idaho, Doug earned a bachelor’s degree at OIT in Klamath Falls while commuting on weekends to Weiser to honor his commitment to the National Guard.

He moved to Portland after completing his Guard service and worked for AT&T as a technician until he retired to start his own business.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Dorothy Saito and is survived by brother, Craig, in Reno, Nev., and Mike, Vicki and Elisse Saito, of Portland, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held in Ontario, Ore.
