1910 born in Weiser to William and Annie Applegate.
1920 Snake River Malheur County with parents and 2 brothers. Father was farmer. 
1930 Weider, Idaho with parents. He was a bookkeeper for grocery.
1933 married Barbara Edith Hays at Payette, Idaho. 
1940 Franklin, Idaho with wife and 2 daughters. He was a secretary. 
1950 Boise, Idaho with wife and 2 daughters and a nephew. He was a Assistant Manager of grocery store.

Lowell W. Applegate, 84, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1994, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 1995, in the Cherry Lane Christian Church, Meridian. Pastor Greg Folkins will officiate. Cremation was at an earlier time.
Mr. Applegate was born Aug. 11, 1910, at Weiser, a son of Samuel William Applegate and Mary Etta Jenson Applegate. He was chosen for the All-State football team in 1929. He later attended the University of Idaho where he pledged to Kappa Phi fraternity.
During World War II, he organized the emergency food distribution for this area. He served as a president and a board member of Good Samaritan League for many years, and was faithful in service to his church, serving in several capacities over the years. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Applegate of Meridian; two daughters, Jean Pullen of Portland, Ore., and Linn Applegate of Hayward, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Cherry Lane Christian Church, Meridian.
