His wife Mabel Cope is also graduate of 1905. Their daughter Jean Smith graduated 1929.
Frank Smith, Early Weiser Resident, Dies
WEISER Services are pending for Frank Rollin Smith, 72, of Weiser, a businessman here for many years, who died at a local hospital Tuesday night. Mr. Smith was born Jan. 1, 1886, at Richland Center, Wis., and in 1895 moved with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Smith, to Anaconda, Mont. In 1898 the family moved to Weiser, where he was graduated from high school in 1905. He also was a graduate of the University of Idaho, from where he received a degree in mining engineering. He was married April 20, 1910, to Mable Cope. He owned and operated the Smith potato chip factory for many years previous to his retirement in 1945.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal church, Weiser lodge 23, AF&AM, the York Rite bodies and the El Korah Shrine temple in Boise.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jean Abrams of Woodland Hills, Calif., Mrs. Phyliss McClenahen of Boise and Mrs. Shirley Cole of Payette, and 10 grandchildren.
Northam-Jones Chapel is arranging services.
