Aug. 20, 1894 – 1969
NAMPA — Graveside services for Earl W. Spangler, 75, of 803 South Powerline Road, who died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at his home Thursday morning, will be conducted at Cloverdale, near Boise, at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. J. Sydney Carnes of the First Christian Church. The cortège will leave the Alsip Funeral Chapel at 10:40 a.m.
Mr. Spangler was born Aug. 29, 1894, in Jetmore, Kan., and moved to the Weiser area as a child. He was reared there, and came to Nampa in 1931. He was in business in Nampa for a number of years, and later worked for the J. R. Simplot Co. He was a veteran of World War II.
He was a member of War Eagle Barracks No. 459, Veterans of World War I, of Nampa.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marie Spangler of Nampa; a daughter, Mrs. Sally Shillington of Twin Falls; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lorayne M. Hauenstein of Lompoc, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Davis and Mrs. Lulu Shannon, both of Los Angeles, and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the chapel until 10 a.m. Monday. Memorials may be given to the Idaho Youth Ranch at Rupert.
