Dec. 30, 1906 – May 5, 1968
CAMBRIDGE — Services for Mrs. Maymie L. Thomas, 61, a longtime Cambridge resident who died in a Boise hospital Sunday after an extended illness, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cambridge Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Fairview in Weiser under the direction of Northam-Jones Chapel.
Mrs. Thomas was born Dec. 30, 1906, at Ephrata, Wash., the daughter of John and Alta Archey. She moved to Payette with her parents, where she attended grade school. Later they moved to Cambridge, then to Weiser, where she graduated from high school.
She was married to Leonard Thomas on Sept. 4, 1926, at Ontario. The couple had made their home in Weiser and Cambridge.
Mrs. Thomas was president of the Woman’s Lookout Club of Cambridge for approximately five years, and served as chairman for several civic fund drives.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard of Cambridge; two sons, John of Moyie Springs, Idaho, and LaVern of Garden Valley; a brother, George LoRee, Weiser; a sister, Mrs. Howard Matteson, Weiser; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Friends who wish may make contributions to the Cambridge Ambulance Fund or the Idaho Youth Ranch at Rupert.
