Herbert A. Brockman
CALDWELL – Services for Herbert A. Brockman, 85, of 1504 Walnut St., Caldwell, who died March 11, 1982, in a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m Monday in Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev Dr Charles Crane of First Christian Church, Caldwell. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser.
He was born Nov 27, 1896, in Rushville, Neb., to August and Florence King Brockman. In 1898 he moved with his family to Weiser, where he was reared and educated, graduating from Weiser High School in 1914, ace in high school sports. He attended Link’s School of Business in Boise. He worked with his father in Brockman’s Orchards in Weiser. He worked for Chamberlain Chevrolet in Weiser for several years. He married Thelma Gibbons on June 20, 1936, in Weiser. In 1946, they moved to Caldwell and established Brockman Realty Co., where he was a broker for 20 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Caldwell.
Survivors include his wife of Caldwell, three grandchildren, and three nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 10th and Everett St., Caldwell, Idaho 83605.
