ONTARIO, Ore. — Services for James T. Attebery, 59, Ontario, who died of natural causes Tuesday at an Ontario hospital, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at The First Christian Church, Ontario, by Howard Larsen. Ritualistic services will be conducted by Acacia Masonic Lodge No. 118, A.F. & A.M., Ontario, at Evergreen Cemetery, Ontario, under the direction of Lienkaemper Chapel, Ontario.
He was born July 8, 1919, at Weiser. He graduated from Weiser High School in 1938, then graduated from the College of Idaho in 1942. He taught at Franklin High School at Boise for a year and a half. He joined the Army in December of 1943, and was discharged in May, 1944. He taught at the Adrian School, Adrian, Ore., for a year. He worked for Amalgamated Sugar Co. as a field man for a year. He ranched and taught school in Ontario from 1946 until the present.
He married Nadine Wainwright on June 15, 1962, at La Grande, Ore. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Ontario, the Elks No. 1690, Ontario, the Acacia Masonic Lodge No. 118, AF&AM and the National Education Association.
Surviving are his wife of Ontario; a son, Thomas W. Atte of Cateria, Calif.; a daughter, Judy I. Jones of Olympia, Wash.; his father, Thomas Attebery of Payette; his mother, Mrs. Tressie Miller of Ontario; two brothers, Bob of Weiser and Louie of Caldwell; a sister, Mrs. John Lois Aspitarte of Boise; and two.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
