David Leon Aldred
David Leon Aldred of Eugene, Oregon died May 9 of age-related causes. He was 84.
Mr. Aldred was born Sept. 2, 1920, in Weiser, Idaho, to William and Leta Chandler Aldred. He married Bettie Jean Cox on Dec. 8, 1947, in Winnemucca, Nev. She died April 24, 2005.
A high school graduate, he served in the Army during World War II. He worked as an electrician for Bohemia Lumber Mill until his retirement.
Mr. Aldred enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends, and also liked travel, camping and working outdoors.
Survivors include two daughters, Cherie Day of Eugene and Terree Putman of Bend; two sons, Dennis and Ron, both of Alaska; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grand- children.
