On Wednesday, July 31, the Industrial Development Corporation of Washington County approved Appleton Produce’s application for $1,680,000 of industrial revenue bonds. These tax-exempt bonds will be used to construct additional storage space, more processing area, and a 20,000 square foot manufacturing plant at Appleton’s Weiser operation. The new and expanded facilities are projected to create 28 new jobs in the first year of operation. By the end of the fourth year, Appleton is expected to employ 112 individuals, with total wages amounting to $607,000.
