Omar Marcus Hovde
Omar Marcus Hovde passed away March 22, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Mayville, North Dakota, to Alle and Geline (nee Hagen) Hovde, Omar arrived on May 11, 1919.
Proudly serving his country, Omar joined the United States Army, where he honorably earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He married Juanita V. Reynolds on September 13, 1940. She preceded him in death.
Omar is survived by his children Denton L. (Barbara) Hovde of Mesa, Arizona, Dean R. (Virginia) Hovde of Eagle, Idaho, and David M. (Carol) Hovde of Eagle, Idaho, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and companion Esther Pogue.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, parents Alle and Geline Hovde, 1 sister, and 5 brothers. A memorial service honoring Omar will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Apache Wells Community Church 2115 N Gayridge Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215 at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park & Funeral Care 6747 East Broadway Road Mesa, Arizona 85206 (480)830-4422.
