Charles A. Kiser Jr.
WEISER — Graveside services for Charles A. Kiser Jr., 60, St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Weiser, who died of natural causes Thursday at St. Louis, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser, by the Rev. Bill Hawk, under the direction of Northam Jones Funeral Home, Weiser.
He was born Oct. 7, 1918, at Weiser, where he was reared and educated. He attended the College of Idaho at Caldwell. He worked for Bradley Mining Co. at Stibnite during World War IL He married lone Alvstad on May 12, 1950, at Portland. They lived at Arco, where he was a building contractor. They later moved to Boise, where he continued working as a building contractor until he began working for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, stationed at Fresno, Calif., later at Los Angeles, and at St. Louis at the time of his death.
Surviving are his wife of St. Louis; 3 sons, Russell Kiser Rowe of Hollywood, Calif., Micheal Kiser of Seattle and Gary Kiser of Los Angeles; a daughter, Karen Ortega of San Diego; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ace (Nell) Guiver and Mrs. Gene (Esther) Baker, both of Weiser, and Mrs. James (Ann) Nielsen of Prineville, Ore.; a brother, Leonard Kiser of Sequim, Wash.; and 4 grandchildren.
