Marge Stamper
Marge (Stamper) Hollenberg, of Boise, passed away Friday, Feb 8, 2002, of natural causes. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Thomason Funeral Chapel, Weiser. Marge was born Marquerite Lucille Stamper, daughter of Charley and Clara (Attebery) Stamper, on Jan. 23, 1920, in Weiser.
Marge received her education in Weiser and married John E. Hollenberg, also of Weiser. They had two sons, John and Jerry. Marge was an active member of Order of Eastern Star and an avid golfer. She also enjoyed pinochle, camping, and water sports.
Marge and John operated the Metropole in downtown Weiser during the late 1940s. Marge worked at Alexanders and J.C. Penney. She and family moved to Boise in the fall of 1963. While in Boise, Marge was employed by the Bazaar and Falk’s ID store. She retired as their lingerie buyer.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Hollenberg of Auburn, Wash.; brother, Don Stamper of Arizona; grandchildren, Shelly Lambright of Middleton, Shawn Hollenberg of Soldotna, Alaska, Corey Hollenberg of Anchorage, Alaska, Chris Hollenberg of Auburn, Wash.; and great-grandchildren, Jessica Lambright and Anna Lambright.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John; and her brothers. The family suggests memorials be made in her name to their local humane shelter.
