Weiser Area Theaters

Elk Theater – located at 230 East 1st Street, Sullivan & Meek Proprietors. (From Weiser City Directory – 1913 – Page 30)
Lyric Moving Picture Theaterthe quarters of the Lyric, on the Southwest Corner of State & West Main Streets, was entirely remodeled and occupied by the Cutting Drug Company around June 1, 1910. Lyric then found a temporary location at 26 East Idaho Street in the Castle Building, while their new Elk Theater was being built on East 1st Street.
Mayfair Theater located across the street from the historic Knights of Pythias lodge, which was at one time showing movies under the name of the Star Theatre, opened on August 29, 1936.

Wheaton Theater (1906-1937) – W.W. Wheaton built the $80,000 theater, designed with an Egyptian motif, in 1906. The shuttered theater was destroyed by fire in 1937.
