Christopher Thomas Frank, 94, of Nampa, passed away on May 29, 2009. Chris was born July 30, 1914, in Frankburg, Alberta, Canada to Heber Frank and Alice Phillips. He then moved to the United States and was raised in Weiser, ID and attended Olds Ferry School.
On June 30, 1941, Chris would marry Irene Bell Frank. They resided in Nampa and had four boys, Roger, Johnny, Eldon and Virgil. They had a small farm where the boys would raise a few cows, chickens and any farm animal they would let them bring home.
Chris was employed by Union Pacific Rail Road for 35 years where he retired. Chris enjoyed traveling to the Washington Coast and salmon fishing in the summer as well as visiting Southern California as snow birds in the winter with Irene after they retired.
Chris leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly.
His surviving family includes: his two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Charla Frank of Nampa, and Virgil and Peggy Frank of Nampa; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Chris was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irene Frank; his parents Heber and Alice Frank; 2 brothers Joseph and Rowan Frank; 2 sisters Roma Dillie and Alma Frank, and 2 sons, Roger and Eldon Frank.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Nampa Funeral Home,Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Avenue South, Nampa.
The family would like to say special thanks to Hospice Heart and Home for their kind thoughts and prayers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Avenue South, Nampa. Graveside services to follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa. Reception to follow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3904 Greenhurst Road, Nampa. Food and refreshments will be served.
