Eugene Charles Henggeler
Eugene (Gene) Charles Henggeler  was born on December 26, 1936 in Ontario, OR and died unexpectedly on September 17, 2022 in Scottsdale, AZ. He was 85 years old. Gene graduated from Weiser High School, Weiser, Idaho in 1955 and from Saint Martin’s University, Lacey, Washington in 1959.
He served in the U.S. Army reserve from 1959-1965. Gene spent his entire career working for Chevron, beginning in Seattle then transferring to the San Francisco Bay Area. He was a long standing member of the Elks Lodge, first in Concord, CA and then in Auburn, CA., serving in many board positions at the Auburn Elks Lodge #1691, including as Exalted Ruler.
Gene married Donna Sharp on December 26, 1959 and they were married until her death in April 1992. On March 27, 1993, Gene married Ginger Vigo. Gene is survived by his wife, Ginger, his three children, Michael (Brenda), Thomas (Tamara) and Kathleen (Bill), two step children – Christine (Dale) Hahn and Mike (Mary) Vigo, 11 grandchildren Alison Henggeler, CJ (Missy) Henggeler, Casey Henggeler, Brooklyn Henggeler, Chelsea Spenser (Jason), Samantha Russell, Cory Hahn, Jason Hahn, Matthew Vigo, Robbie Vigo, Ryan Vigo, and 2 great grandchildren Emily Spenser and Avery Spenser.
Gene is also survived by his 4 siblings Joan Henggeler, Carolyn Felgenhauer, Jim (Suzann) Henggeler, and Leo (Lisa) Henggeler. He was so loved and will be greatly missed.A mass will be said in Gene’s memory at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church at 8:30 a.m. on October 21, 4450 Granite Dr, Rocklin, CA. A celebration of Gene’s Life will be held at the Auburn Elk’s Lodge, 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 195 Pine St, Auburn, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the following: Auburn Elk’s Lodge #1691, 195 Pine St., Auburn, CA 95603. Mount Claret Center Chapel, 4633 N 54th St, Phoenix, AZ 85018.
