Fred Einsphar

Obituary

Class of 1952
Sept. 15, 1934 – Oct. 17, 1997
Fred Einsphar
Fredrick “Fred” Harvey Einspahr, 63, lifelong resident of Weiser, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at Cascade. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997, at Thomason Funeral Chapel, Weiser. Fred was born Sept. 15, 1934, at Big Parnes, Neb., the son of Harvey and Alba Santero Einspahr. The family moved to Weiser, Idaho, in 1938. Fred resided in Weiser for most of his life and was raised on a ranch by the Weiser River and learned to farm at an early age, which became his occupation.
He graduated from Weiser High School in 1952. He married Karon Kauffman in March of 1953. They had two children and were later divorced. Fred said many times he was the luckiest man on earth because he was doing exactly what he wanted—farming, fishing, hunting, or dancing.
Fred passed away Friday, Oct. 17th, in Cascade after a day of fishing. Survivors include his mother, Alba Einspahr of Weiser; daughter and son-in-law, Jay Lynn and George Burger of Boise; son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Kathy Neher of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Violet Matthews of Cascade, Idaho, and Madeline Tira of Weiser; grandchildren, Christopher Neher, Yuriko Neher, Candise Neher, Ashley Neher, Taylor Neher, and Harrison Neher; and he was also a special uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Einspahr. The family suggests no flowers; however, memorials may be made in his name to the Mountain States Tumor Institute, Patient Financial Assistance, 100 E. Idaho, Boise, Idaho 83712, or to a favorite charity.
