Edgar Albert Scheloske, 79, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, in Ontario, Ore. He was born on Jan. 20, 1927, in Weiser, Idaho, to Albert Antone and Addie Rose Glascock Scheloske. He was known as “Buster” to his family. He married Marjorie Clare Steffens in Weiser on Nov. 19, 1950. Albert worked in Oregon on the McNary Dam for two years and for Union Pacific Railroad for four years in Washington.
They moved to Baker, Ore., in 1956, and Albert went to work for The Chemical Lime Plant. He worked for the Lime Plant until it closed in 1980, after which he worked for Baker County.
After retiring in 1989, he worked part-time at Ingram’s Farm in Haines, Ore., a job he loved. When he fully retired, he and Marge moved to Fruitland, Idaho, and then later to Ontario, Ore. He and Marge spent many happy weeks over the years touring the United States.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Helen Martin, Georganna Allen, and Maxine Carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of Ontario; daughters, Terry (Doug) Stoddard of Boise and Debra (Dan) Griffith of Pocatello; six grandchildren, Emily (Brendon) Hill, Brent (Kelly) Stoddard, Mark (Tarah) Stoddard, Brian (Lon) Stoddard, Melissa (Jeremy) Moore, and Paul Griffith; and great-grandchildren, Nathan and David Moore, Hailey Stoddard, and Paige Hill. Funeral Services will be held Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in Weiser. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Thomason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
