WEISER (Special) — Clethra Van Kirk Broadbent, 20, wife of Kenneth Broadbent of Weiser, died Wednesday morning at a Weiser hospital where she had been a patient for the past three days. She had suffered from an asthmatic condition for some time.
Mrs. Broadbent was born in Weiser on April 10, 1934. She attended Weiser schools and was graduated from Weiser High School in 1952. She worked as a secretary in a law office in Weiser and, since last January, had been the secretary to Robertson W. Smith, secretary of the Idaho Municipal League.
She was married to Kenneth Broadbent in Weiser on March 27, 1952. She attended the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of Weiser, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Van Kirk of Weiser, and a sister, Miss Trudine Van Kirk of Nampa.
