Lowell & Wanda Patrick – Owners
Later, Gary Lewis became Owner
Misty colored memories for sure, I could literally tell hours of stories associated with that little store and the people that worked there.
Mabel Rebman was a mainstay, worked there I believe for Lowell Patrick before my brother bought it and worked there for many more years after. Gary hired many a “high schooler” over the years to work there, I first started working there at 11 sacking groceries and watering bedding plants.
Gary was known for a lot of things but one of my favorite was making signs for specials, an old piece of plywood, some butcher paper, and lots of red paint.  Kay had the store painted red as it was green when I worked there.
Those that worked there will remember the creepy dark “cellar” under the stores east side, especially Mr. Mattson that worked on the refrigeration compressors.
