Mrs. Beardsley was born July 20, 1891, at Weiser, a daughter of Alexander and Rebecca Locke Watson, who were homesteaders on the Weiser Flat.
She married William A. Page of New York in 1912 and left Weiser to make her home in the East. William died in 1924. In 1925, she married Roger Beardsley of Batavia, N.Y. Following his death in 1977, she returned to Weiser.
Nell, as she was known to her many friends, was a member of the First Congregational Church, now known as the Community Church. She was also a member of the Monroe Creek Club, the Bridge Club, and a past worthy matron of Loyalty Chapter #19, Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, William Page of La Grande, Ore.; two daughters, Sue Atwood of Depoe Bay, Ore., and Mary Ellen Smith of Weiser; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and four brothers.
The family suggests that memorials may be made in her name to Memorial Hospital, 645 E. 5th St.The Idaho Statesman
