Francis “Frank” M. Adams died in Mineral at about two o’clock Monday morning November 18, 1889, of typhoid pneumonia. He was taken down sometime ago with typhoid fever and recovered so far as to be out and tried to work some at raking hay, but was taken down again with a severe cold which caused his taking off.
He was a little over fifty-five years of age, and leaves a wife and six children to mourn his sad death. Frank, was well known to our people as a quiet and honorable man, a good citizen, husband and father. In fact he was a warmhearted man, always being in sympathy with the unfortunate in both words and actions. It is true he had his enemies, but it is a poor mortal who does not.
Funeral services were held at his residence, Rev. Wm. Bartholomew officiating, on Tuesday afternoon last, and he was laid to rest at the cemetery, being followed to the grave by a large circle of sorrowing friends and acquaintances. May he rest in peace.
