George Courdin taken by death – former Assistant Mine Foreman dies after a short illness.
George W. Courdin, 43, assistant foreman for the Anaconda Copper Mining Company, died yesterday at his home, 1101 West Broadway, following a short illness.
Mr. Courdin had resided in Butte for the last 16 years, during which time he had been working for the Anaconda Company in various capacities. Much of the time was at the Leonard mine. During his residence here he had formed a circle of several score friends.
Mr. Courdin was born at Monette, Mo. Surviving are his wife Marguerite; a brother-in-law, Ralph Tile of this city; another brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. U, Plavan; his father, S J. Courdin, and a niece, Florence Plavan all of Santa Ana, Calif.
