NAMPA – Gerald “Jerry” Blow, 64, of Nampa, died Wednesday, March 20, 1991, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 25, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. The Rev. Kenneth Ball, associate pastor of the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Private family burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser.
Jerry was born Sept. 26, 1926, at Weiser, a son of L. J. and Leta Blow. He was reared and attended schools in Weiser. After his education, he went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad, and lived in Huntington, Ore., and Glenns Ferry, Idaho. He entered the U.S. Army on Sept. 25, 1946, and was honorably discharged on May 21, 1947.
Following his discharge, Jerry returned to Glenns Ferry where he continued with the railroad. He later moved to Nampa where he made his home. He retired from UPRR as a freight supervisor, and had resided in Nampa since.
He was a member of Nampa BPOE #1389.
Survivors include two brothers, Harold N. Blow of Salem, Ore., and Donald E. Blow of Wichita, Kan.; a stepsister, Mrs. Dorothy Lageschulte of Nampa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel in Nampa.
