Tribute Scheduled For Serviceman

Glenn David Van Kirk

WEISER (Special) — Services for Pvt. Glenn David Van Kirk, who was killed in action May, 1945, in the Philippines, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Northam-Jones chapel with the Rev. O. L. Johnson officiating.

Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery with the Weiser American Legion post in charge.

Pvt. Van Kirk was born Aug. 11, 1926, in American Falls, and came to Weiser in 1932 and was graduated from the local high school in May, 1944. He entered the Army Oct. 26, 1944.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Van Kirk, Weiser, and two sisters, Trudine and Clethra, all of Boise.
