The Weiser School Board Monday night voted to establish a one-teacher school at Haas to provide instruction through the first six grades. The school will replace a two-teacher eight-grade unit according to Superintendent Lloyd Eason.
The action was taken by the board to satisfy patrons in the area who wanted to send their children to school in Weiser and to maintain a school for others who wanted their children to continue at Haas School, the superintendent said. The board also ruled that all seventh graders in the district will be required to attend the Junior High School in Weiser this fall. Bus driver contracts were approved and transportation zones will be maintained as they were last year Eason said
