Katherine “Kay” Elizabeth (Barton) Lansbery, 91, of Weiser died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1986 in a Weiser hospital of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, Jan. 31 at Thomason Funeral Chapel with Father Joseph Muha officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mrs Lansbery was bom Jan 12 1895 at Weiser a daughter of Edward M and Carrie C. Grabb Barton. Her family was one of the early pioneer families in Weiser. Her father donated the land to the city of Weiser for Hillcrest Cemetery.
Kay worked as Deputy-County Treasurer of Washington County for several years before moving to Oregon and then California to make her home. She returned to Weiser in 1964 to make her home with her sister Inez Smith where she lived until her death. Survivors include a sister Inez Smith of Weiser, a niece Mary Louise Johnson of Weiser, several great and great-great-nleces and nephews. The family suggests that memorials be made in her name to the Washington County Senior Citizens. 115 E Main Street,  Weiser
