In the U.S. census of 1940, he (Lee Arthur “Red” Blacker) was married to Bernice and living in Port Chicago, Contra Costa county, California, where he worked in construction at a steel company.

Married January 1, 1950 in Baker county, Oregon to Lora M. Riley Wright, at the home of a Presbyterian minister. It was a second marriage for both.
