RICHLAND, Wash. — Detective Sergeant Lester M. Linkous, 48, Baker, Ore., died Friday while on vacation in Sandpoint, Idaho.
He was born in Weiser on Jan. 21, 1913, and was employed by the Richland Police Department. Prior to that time he was in the sheep business. He belonged to the Oregon-Washington Peace Officers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Ina; three sons, Gary, Rodney and Michael; one brother, Michael, and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Einan Chapel in Richland.
