Lola (Hindmarsh) Herrmann

Obituary

Class of 1938
1919 – Jul. 22, 2011
Lola Hindmarsh
Lola Herrmann, age 92, soon went home to be with Jesus on July 22, 2011. Her husband of 59 years, Kermit Herrmann, was already there waiting.
Then she became the wife of a farmer. For many years they lived in Sunnyside, WA., moving to Shasta County in 1966. She then became a librarian at Bass Elementary School in Mountain Gate where she retired. As a member of the Buckeye Grange, she did what she loved to do: being around others and serving people. For those of you that may remember, they would have pancake breakfasts and spaghetti feeds or dinners at the Buckeye Grange on Lake Blvd. Lola was always there with a smile, and it seems she had many hands to serve. If you did not know her from the Grange, you did around tax time. She owned and operated R&I Tax Services for years. She prepared many taxes over the years until a stroke affected her eyesight. She absolutely not only loved doing taxes but getting to know her customers and becoming part of their family through their stories.
What a cook she was! Lola made the holiday dinners special and made the best candy! Fudge, Almond Roca, and the Bonbons!
Lola is survived by son K. Dale Herrmann, Jr, and wife Martha of Redding, daughter Treva Forrister and husband Jon of Shasta Lake. She has 5 grandchildren: Gabe Forrister, Amber Burlew, Jaimie Herrmann, Sarah Fischer, and Becky Fogarty whom she loved and would do anything for.
Lola was also very proud to be a great grandma to 4 great grandsons: Kaden, Tandon, Lincoln Burlew, and Casen Fogarty. She is also survived by her sister Treva Showman of Boise, Idaho.
Preceding her in death is her husband Kermit Herrmann in 2008 and son James “Dick” Herrmann in 1988.
Mom, we do rejoice for you cause you are in heaven, but we believe in Jesus!
A Memorial will be held at Lawncrest Memorial Park om Fri. Aug. 5th at 1:00 p.m.
