George Nesbit House
Standing beside the car is believed to be George, his wife Lola Belle (Johnson) Nesbitt who was commonly known as “Nezie”, and their daughter Rose Marie, who went by Marie, the boy standing on the right side of the photo is Gus Coulter and a neighbor. The house had a nice porch and veranda, These ‘were removed many years ago, More recently another porch was added but is not of the original design.
This house is now the Liberty House bed and breakfast. (See Photo on right taken by Ken Walston.)
‘The automobile is believed to be a 1912 Maxwell, which helps to date this photograph. Based on ‘the automobile and when Van Graven went out of business the photo had to have been made between 1912 and 1914, ‘On the left side of the photo is a warehouse and on the roof is writing which can be made out to read the name of Herman Haas and is assumed to be a warehouse for the Herman Haas Hardware and Implement Co.
