PAUL JOSEPH
WEISER — Services for Paul Joseph, 78, a long-time resident of Weiser who died Wednesday at a Weiser nursing home, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Northam-Jones Chapel with Rev. Leonard Reifel of the Weiser Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest.
Mr. Joseph was born June 2, 1892, at Creston, Iowa, and moved with his parents to Weiser, where he was raised on a farm on the Oregon bench south of Weiser. He attended grade school at Oregon and was graduated from Weiser High School in the class of 1911.
He was married to Sarah A. Perry on April 3, 1917, at Weiser. He was engaged in farming in Oregon until 1948 when he sold his farm and moved into Weiser. For many years, he conducted an agricultural school for veterans in cooperation with the Weiser school district.
Mrs. Joseph preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, Thomas P. Joseph, of Portland; two brothers, Donald and Frank Joseph, both of Weiser; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northam-Jones Chapel until 10 a.m. Friday.
Members of the family suggest that donations may be made to a charity of choice.
