Obituary

1864 – March 24, 1941
P.E. Roberts Of Weiser Dies
WEISER (Special)—P.E. Roberts, a long-time resident of Washington County, passed away Monday night at the Ontario Hospital at the age of 77.
Born in Marquette County, Michigan, in 1864, Roberts was part of the construction crew that built the first railroad through Idaho. He held significant roles in the Weiser community, serving as the town’s first marshal and later as sheriff for two terms. He was also a director of the Weiser First National Bank before transitioning into the livery and transfer business in 1924. In later years, he operated as a fuel dealer.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, and three daughters. The body is currently at the Northam Funeral Chapel in Weiser, with funeral arrangements pending.
