Robert H. Cushing, 81, of Boise died Tuesday, July 20, of natural causes. A memorial service will take place today at 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2004, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Boise.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise. Robert was born on Dec. 23, 1922, in Weiser, Idaho, to Mr. and Mrs. John Cushing. He moved to Boise in 1940 and attended Boise Junior College. He then entered the service and was married to Loraine Gartner in Jamestown, N.D. Robert was commissioned into the service at Deming, N.M., in 1944.
After the war, he managed Northwestern States Bus Lines. He was an active alumnus at Boise State and was president of the Boise Alumni Association from 1971 to 1972. He was a member of the Lions Club and active in the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lorraine; two daughters, Karen Dossett and her husband Dennis of Seattle and Kris Scott and her husband Tim of Boise; and three grandchildren, Michelle, Lisa, and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Bill Cushing.
