Samuel T. Agnew, 68, died at a Nampa hospital Thursday following an extended illness. Mr. Agnew was born on Jan. 16, 1908 at LaRue, Ark. He was reared and educated in Arkansas. He was married to Marguerite Evelyn Waggoner on Nov. 5, 1932, at Bentonville, Ark. In 1936, they moved to Wenatchee, Wash. In 1938 they moved to Salem, Ore., where he was employed in the wholesale grocery business. In 1950 they moved to Weiser, where he became partner in the Ingersoll’s Market. In 1953 they returned to Salem where he continued in the grocery business until he retired in 1965. In 1965 they moved to Nampa where they made their home.

Mrs. Agnew preceded him in death him in death on March 2, 1965. He has continued to make his home in Nampa since that time. Mr. Agnew is survived by two sons, Jerry Agnew, Nampa, and Donald Agnew, Fairport, N.Y.; two brothers, Clint Agnew, Leavenworth, Wash., and Charles Agnew, Peshastin, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Alene Hammil, Seattle, Wash., and Miss Louise Agnew, Salem, Ore.; and five grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
