Stanley Wayne Thompson
ALBANY — Stanley Wayne Thompson, 52, of 5050 S.E. Columbus St., died Friday in an Albany hospital.
Born in Weiser, Idaho, he served in the Navy in World War II and lived in Baker before coming to Newberg in 1972.
He came to Albany in 1974 and was a salesman for Albany Floor Covering. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Velma; daughter, Cissy Michehl, Sacramento, Calif.; son, Spike, John Day; stepdaughters, Margaret Carroll and Joan Buxtor, both of Baker, and Deloris Dennis, Richland; mother, Katie Thompson; and sister, Judy Karnes, both of Weiser; as well as 11 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at AAsum Mortuary. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Baker. The family suggests memorials to the Oregon Heart Association.
