EAGLE — Wilson Chesnut, 76, of Eagle and Placerville, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1991, in a Boise hospital of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 1991, at the Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian. The Rev. Tom Tucker of the Cathedral of the Rockies, First United Methodist Church, Boise, will officiate. Burial will be in Meridian Cemetery.
Mr. Chesnut was born April 14, 1915, at Mitchell, Ore. He was raised and educated in Weiser where he married Margaret Hopkins on Feb. 15, 1936. After several years in Weiser, they moved to the Filer area, then to the Meridian/Boise area. He retired in Eagle and Placerville, where he was a past City Council member. Wilson was a meat cutter and later worked for the Nampa-Meridian Irrigation District.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; four sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Judy Chestnut, and Dale and Kathy Chestnut, of Placerville and Eagle, Gary and Sandy Chesnut of Eagle, and Dennis and Patti Chesnut, of Spokane, Wash.; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Sig Marx of Boise; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Everett and Alice Chesnut of Boise, and Martin and Vivian Chesnut of Coeur d’Alene; three sisters, Lorraine Wigand of Caldwell and Wallowa, Ore., Minnie Probasco and Nancy Vogel, both of Weiser and Boise; a brother-in-law and his wife, Jack and Rosemary Hopkins of Gresham, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bob Chesnut; two sisters and two brothers.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Senior Citizen Centers of Eagle, and of Boise Basin in Idaho City.
Friends may call Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian.
